Join me in Rome!

The weather in Rome has been glorious – and Rome is packed with tourists.  It is the perfect time for ROME ALONE and for researching the sequel, ROME AGAIN. Currently the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are being restored, but there is still plenty to see in Rome – and Barcaccia Fountain at the foot of the Spanish Steps is a stand in for tourists to gather, chat, eat gelati, and throw in coins and make a wish.   There is also work going on at the Forum to build a new Metro station – but there are still plenty of photo opportunities at the Forum and the Colosseum.  There is a great atmosphere in Rome – Romans are friendly and welcoming and visiting solo is no problem as tourists chat to each other all the time, so feeling alone is not an option! When the heat gets too much, retire to the cool shade of Babington’s tea room on the Piazza di Spagna and treat yourself to a pot of tea. Or start early and have breakfast at Babington’s – the omelettes will make sure you can march on your stomach all day. Visit soon – and buon viaggio!
