Leonardo da Vinci: The Mechanics of Genius

Until 4 September you can see Leonardo the inventor rather than the artist in an exhibition at the Science Museum in London.

Highlights of the exhibition include:

  • 39 historical models of Leonardo’s inventions including flying machines, diving equipment and weapons
  • Large-scale reproductions of Leonardo’s famous drawings and sketches
  • 13 Interactive games and 10 multimedia installations
  • Modern examples of bio-inspired robotics, aviation and materials technology.

How to get there

Opening hours:

10.00–18.00 (last entry 17.15) every day except 24 to 26 December.

The Science Museum closes at 19.00 during school holidays – last entry 18.15, except for Wednesdays, when the museum closes at 18.00.

Remember to check times before setting out, in case of variations.
