Free Lecture, British Museum, London – The Mildenhall Treasure: fine dining in Roman Britain

On Thursday 2 February at 1.30pm Richard Hobbs from the British Museum will be presenting new research on the Mildenhall Treasure – and will be discussing fine dining in Roman Britain.

The Mildenhall Treasure is a haul of silver platters, bowls and dishes dating from 4th century AD Roman Britain, found at Mildenhall in Sussex in 1942.

The event will take place in the BP Lecture Theatre at the British Museum – and booking is essential.

After the hour-long lecture, Richard Hobbs will be signing copies of his new book.
